~ inspired home... julie

Oh my goodness. I'm not sure I've ever seen such attention to detail as I did at Julie's house. First of all, let me tell you about how adorable Julie is. She comes to the door in her cute little dress and her cute little high heels (more on the shoes later) and her cute little personality. And wait until you see how this personality is reflected in her home. I only wish Julie would have posed for each and every photo... is she not the cutest? PS She is really funny.

Let me back up... I get so excited!
Here is the exterior of the house - so beautiful! Even on a super gloomy day. I love love love her symmetrical landscaping and garden!

To say Julie is a collector is an understatement. Her philosophy is to buy things she likes and then worry about where to place them. I happen to agree wholeheartedly with this philosophy. I believe that you should have an emotional response to pieces you purchase, and  there is a spot for almost anything if you truly love it... Julie is living proof. Check it out...
The dining room

Vignettes are everywhere...

And now let me introduce you to Crackers. Crackers follows Julie around everywhere she goes. Julie doesn't particularly like Crackers. Did I mention Julie is funny? Hysterical.

Crackers literally ran in front of us and jumped up to pose...

I felt a close-up was appropriate...

Love this blue... Julie does too and has this color in almost every room...

 Charming Butler's Pantry

 Love the rolling pins...

 Loved her concrete counter tops...

Julie's office... look at the ceiling wallpaper! (sorry about the lighting...)

 Master bedroom...

Love these cabinets... wait until you see what's inside!

Love the green and the toile!

Have you been picking up on the feathers? Julie has a substantial amount of feathers in her home...

Master closet...

I love the collections in the boys rooms! Julie assured me that the boys do live in the rooms, but I have to wonder... everything has a place, and everything is in it's place.

Ruby's room... so cute!

Another vignette... Julie has a lot of vignettes!

Office

Guest room and bath...

And oh, what a beautiful garden! I think I should do another post with more of her garden! Don't you think?

Lots of vignettes, lots of drama, lots of charm and detail, a few feathers and some confidence = Julie's house. What a pleasure it was to photograph! Julie takes such care in her placement of each and every thing, and her love of home is obvious everywhere you look. I am in awe of Julie because she wears high heels everyday... and because she does her own dusting! Can you imagine what that entails?
Thank you Julie!
