~ twoems

Etsy is such a rabbit hole. I see something I like, I explore the shop, click one of their favorite shops, go to that shop, click one of their favorites, and on and on. It's just like blogging!
Twoems is a great little shop with beautiful prints by Melanie Mikecz. She uses a digital mixed media technique which includes sketching, painting, drawing and scanning among other things. I just love her work... the colors are fabulous and fun, and the geometric designs are fresh and whimsical.

Sometimes, when I'm adding photos to a post, it will hit me like a train, "Wouldn't this collection make a great mosaic?!" I stop immediately and count up the pics to determine the mosaic size...

If your in the mood for some fanciful fun,
And you've done the laundry and gone for a run,
If you think your life might be boring,
Pop over to Etsy and do some exploring!
If it's hot and humid with a chance of showers,
It's a great way to kill 8-12 hours!

Between Etsy and Pinterest...there goes the day (or night)! These are great...
Do you use Picnik? It has a collage feature that is fun and fast and has several layouts: do take a look.

I agree. Spent several hours searching different things on Saturday. All I need is something else that eats a lot of time. Oh well. It was fun. Nope all is well with you.

I haven't really gone there yet and its sounds like maybe I should stay away, its bad enough blog world keeps me so preoccupied, it could easily become a full time job :) But those are quite pretty and I love all the cheery and uplifting colors, amazing how color can make you feel isn't it? I was at someones house over the weekend who is an artist, and if she weren't so private I would have asked to take pics and post but her home was exploding with colors everywhere and it just made me feel so alive. It was more than I would or could handle on a day to day basis but it was beautiful and so energized feeling. Lovely!

I can see why you love Melanie's work it's so pretty and colorful. I've been on etsy and like you said you can spend hours! I fell down so many holes I forgot what I was orginally looking for but that's half the fun. Enjoy your week!
