~ fabulous flowers

As you know, Whole Foods is my florist... most of the time. I picked up these gorgeous roses last week, and they smelled exactly like rose perfume... no onion/garlic smell like my last Whole Foods "onion flowers" fiasco! (If you missed that story, you can read it here.)
Sometimes, roses will turn brown or start to wilt before they even open! Such a bummer to throw away roses after only enjoying them for a few days. These roses did no such thing... They got prettier and prettier everyday! They were practically like full heads of lettuce!
It's easy to see what attracted me... the orange color with a tinge of pink is brilliant... I probably went a little overboard with the number of photos documenting the beauty. I've noticed experienced bloggers who masterfully choose just one exquisite photo to comment on, displaying such maturity and control. This would not be my strong suit. When it comes to using control in the sharing of beauty department, I don't want a single detail to be missed!

So, here are the roses a couple days after I got home...

They don't even look real! So after a couple more days, I got all excited and hyper, switched vases, and moved them around the house for a little photo shoot...

Beats the hell out of onion flowers!

First these are spectacular!! WOW the color, you weren't kidding they look like perfect orange mini heads of lettuce....who knew! I might have to make a special trip to Whole Foods to get roses! I love how you moved them around, so something I would do. And they look beautiful in each and every room! Enjoy...I bet they smell great too:)

Hello Fabiana, I love every single shot of your beautiful roses...never too many when they are this beautiful.
Have you tried drying them in sand? I used to dry 100 roses a week. Your color of roses, I think, would dry beautifully. The only roses that do not turn out well are white and dark red roses. Get some 35 grit builders sand at Home Depot and give it a try. I have given instructions on how to dry flowers in one of my blog posts.

Your roses are stunning and deserve a lot of photos, besides how else would the rest of us enjoy them? My favorite color is orange so I love these and love all the different colors they're turning. Thank you for sharing they are worth it!

You're right: they hardly look real! Keep showing us lots of photos Jan, the more the better. I'm meeting a friend outside of Whole Foods tomorrow, for a fabric pick up, but just might have to go on in!!

The color of these roses has to be the most beautiful that I've ever seen! I have a climbing rose called Joseph's Coat that has that combination of pink and orange. But the blossoms are nowhere near as beautiful as these. So beautiful! If I lived close to a Whole Foods I'd be there tomorrow!

The roses are beautiful! You captured such beauty I could almost smell them!

We have been gone for a few days and there are no fresh flowers in sight! You'll never guess where I am going. . . . . Thanks for inspiration.

Enjoy your day.
