~ street appeal

Drove through one of my favorite neighborhoods recently and marveled at the serious street appeal of these homes...

I just love the feel of old homes in old neighborhoods...
Slightly weathered, layered, established, charming, warm elements...

Just beautiful!

Oh my, they are all wonderful. Each one is so different, but so beautiful. I could live in any of them. Hugs, Marty

Hi Jan!

I keep wanting to do this same thing.... share some shots of homes in my areatown but then I worry if they might see their house on my blog and get angry with me ot something!!!

I tend to overthink these things.... i know.

I am so glad you shared these. LOVE the first one the most. Gorgeous!

Alison, so funny... I have been a little nervous myself about the same thing... but I've done this once before in another neighborhood and it was very well-received! I hope that anyone would be flattered that their home is so beautiful it was chosen to be featured in a post about gorgeous homes!!
Also, I've seen other blogs do the same thing... in fact there is one blog, I can't remember the name who only does that... features images of different homes in different neighborhoods! I think it's in Georgia...

PS I also am prepared to take down any photos at any time with anyone who might not want to be included....

Beautiful beautiful beautiful!! I enjoyed this so much!

I've been blogging since 2007 and have photographed many homes. The most recent was a beautiful old Missouri farmhouse, just down the road. One of the owners of the old home emailed me the most wonderful note. The home has been in her family several generations. Her note made that photo even more special for me.

I met Richard, of My Old Historic Home blog, directly from my photo of his beautiful historic home. I just happened to snap a photo as we were leaving the riverfront area and added it at the end of a blog post. He emailed to tell me how thrilled he was to see his home there and invited us for tour. That was several years ago and we have visited his home more than once.
I have had nothing but positive reception, when taking photos of homes and gardens.

Those homes are beautiful! They all look so green and groomed. In Northern Cal. where we used to live, there was a neighborhood that was all decked out around Christmas time and you could drive through and see them. These homes remind me of them. Thanks for the lovely tour.

Gorgeous homes. Love it when people take such pride and tend all the details. I could drive along just gawking for hours. One of my favorite things to do. Have a great weekend. Mona

These homes certainly have curb appeal. I love homes that look like they will be in style forever and not too trendy. The one with ivy growing is spectacular but the gardner must have his hand full keeping it trimmed. Thanks for the tour. Shannon
