~ what the h?

Is anyone else getting weird anonymous comments? Some days I am  annoyed by them, but some days they are complete entertainment! I am debating whether I should stop accepting anonymous comments, or is the occasional "normal" comment from a "normal" anonymous person worth the spam? I got 5 last night!

I hear you about the comments. I have been getting some lately and was wondering if it was a hack or something. Good ideal to stop taking the Annon. ones. My computer usually throws them in a spam and they do not show up on my comment page. Thanks for sharing. Richard from My Old Historic House.

Phew Jan you have a collection of weirdos there... What de he?LLL??! I have had a few and I have just deleted them as I have open comments. Fortunately I receive
them on my Black Berry so can act swiftly! Must say some are quite entertaining! I get weird friend requests since I started a facebook page for Tassels Twigas and Tastebuds from people who clearly are not interested in recipes, a
gardens or decor.... and weird messages in my inbox!

I am laughing... with your "who are these people" comments, clearly
"outsiders" as in non blogging friends and I think its safe to say they are from another country (maybe even another planet)? JUST KIDDING.
On a lighter note, I have gotten some funny ones like that though none as disturbing as the third one (is he trying to tell us he is mentally unstable) or that in reading your blog he gets so excited he just cannot control his thoughts?
Thanks for the laugh, I accept anonymous comments also because sometimes people can't sign in with blogger and they can still post anonymously. Until it gets really weird (just about there) I will stop allowing them:)

Gotten a few of these myself, but now that Blogger has a filter in place they go straight to the spam folder. Just enable the filter. It works.

I don't allow anonymous ones anymore. I got tired of those comments.

I have gotten some spam, too....especially weird furniture comments....

Yes, I get these too! And no, the spam filter does not work on them...If you look at your stats, they are almost always from overseas, non-English speaking countries... Thus the weird grammar! They're harmless... so I just ignore them.

Had a few of these and they always read as though the person can't speak English, or try to be complimentary but don't get the point across. Plain weird.

Funny comments and I think we've all gotten our fair share of these "weird" ones. Like some have said if English isn't your first language the verb and such can be misplaced. Just ignore the weird comments until they get scary then block. Enjoy your Sunday!

I do not open the spam but I am sure I have some similar comments. Probably some are new to the English language. So far the spam file is working for my blog.

I am sure blogging or any presence on the web invites unwanted comments. I would just follow the advice of those who use the filter. These comments are harmless, though. It would make you wonder, but you can also delete them.

I see you are absorbing the best of what Napa valley has to offer. I feel so blessed to live less than an hour away from this beautiful part of our country!! Sometimes you just have to go to the Napa valley and absorb all the beautiful scenery. I love to have lunch at V.Sattui on the picnic tables. Love their Deli!! Can't wait to see read all about the rest of your trip. Kathysue

My goodness Kathysue, I live not far from Napa, too. Small world. :)

I like Celadon, too.
