~ ivy, green ivy

When I say ivy, I do mean green ivy... of the plant variety. Just didn't want to confuse you with all the excitement surrounding Blue Ivy, Beyonce's baby. In case you've been locked in a closet for the last few days and missed the birth, it's been much like the second coming of Christ.

Anyhoo, I'm just so happy with my latest grocery store purchase. If I can get my groceries and plants in one stop, I'm just thrilled. I've always been in love with ivy. I love it mixed with just about anything, but I also think it's gorgeous all by itself!

You know I couldn't wait to get those poinsettias out! Check here if you missed my post about my lack of love for poinsettias...
Speaking of poinsettias, I just found photos of my Christmas table. I'll post those tomorrow...

I share your love of ivy, I think your ivy wreath stands alone beautifully. I have ivy topiaries everywhere, in the garden, on the veranda and throughout the house.
I have a great flower section in the supermarket where I shop. Love your sense of humor………..

I love Ivy but every time I bring one home it gets spider mites. Since I hate killing anything I've stopped buying these beauties. Yours is gorgeous!

My daughter told me last night of Beyonces daughters name, Blue Ivy, intersting name. I think I like ivy as in ivy plants more, and yours are just beautiful, cannot believe you found those at your local grocery!

Your ivy is beautiful. You've reminded me I have a bunch of ivy growing in my back yard. We live on a ridge and the neighbors 30 ft below us have ivy growing up their back yard underneath our fence. Maybe I'll dig some up and bring it indoors and see how it does.

p.s. - I don't care for poinsettias either although Urban Cottage posted a pic of a blue one he had that was quite pretty.

Jan,
I too love Ivy! And had to laugh, because when I saw the title, the first thing I thought of was Beyonce and Jay-Z's new baby girl!

This post was right on. Love your remark about Ivy. I am not only a fan of your amazing home and blog but also not a fan of Pointsettias. I did have two this year that were gorgeous but I do not yearn for them. Not a fan of Easter Lilies either. Oh well! Just love your slant on things. Please continue to share with us your ideas and home.

I need to get rid of our poinsettias and buy a couple of pretty house plants! I might do that tomorrow.

For the love of ivy! I adore it! The green, luscious, growing kind.

There are quite a few girls and women here in Mississippi with the given name "Ivy". I kind of like that too. I even know two young girls with the middle "Blue" --
"Ella Blue" and "Porter Blue".

Thank you for the post. Happy Trails to you . . .of ivy!

I do like the small ivy, that you can train into topiary shapes. That has been my passion for the past year. You did quite well with your purchase at the grocery store for sure. Happy New Year to you!
