~ scenic boat tour

A scenic boat tour was just the perfect activity for New Year's Day... An overcast sky provided a nice respite to the nonstop shining sun. The Winter Park tour travels from lake to lake and comes complete with a corny (and adorable) tour guide.
The lakes are connected by narrow chains... Narrow, like the tour boat barely fits through kind of narrow, but quaint nevertheless.

The moss is stunning!

 As are the homes...

I think my version of the tour, sans the corny comments, is even better than the real thing!
More Winter Park coming!

Wow What a great tour you have in there.

Those houses infront of a river are so cute and festive! So nice to live in a place like that.

Are those houses for sale?

Now that is my kind of "scenery" I could see it now my kids would be rolling their eyes saying "even in a boat she has to look at houses".....lol. Beautiful tour of homes and what a relaxing way to spend New Years Day!! Lets hope this sets the tone for a relaxing and peaceful year to come!

I've commented to you before how much I love Winter Park. Thanks for this reminder of how beautiful this cruise is. This is certainly the best of Florida. Astounding to realize how close (yet so far) it is to the craziness of Orlando. I know that is "magic" for some, but I'll find my magic here with you in Winter Park, thank you!

Jan, My son and his family live in Winter Park and they loved the cruise. We were going to take it on our last visit but ran out of time. I enjoy all your post on the area.
