~ plates, plaques, platters

While in Florida, I found some treasures at Treasure Island, a great antique shopping mall with tons of booths where you can find just about anything you can imagine. My treasures were found in the delft section. "The delft guy" had new and old pieces and some of the prettiest I'd ever seen...
I found these delft plaques and thought they were stunning...

I fell in love with these Delft plates - one for each month... perfect in my back bathroom!

While hanging the new Delft pieces, I was inspired to revisit some plates I'd had stored away waiting for the perfect place to put them.
Here are the majolica plates I took out of the hutch in my family room...

I love the color they add to that side of the room, and I'm much happier with the new look in the hutch!

I had a pair of blue and white plates put away and brought those out for my office shelves...

I even had this beautiful blue and white platter hidden away. I wouldn't normally think to put it in the laundry room, but it seemed perfect right above the window... after all, I am running low on wall space!

Works nicely with the quimper plates!

So, I hung 21 plates, platters and plaques, and put out an additional pair of plates adding a total of 23 pieces to my decor! When I'm in the mood, I can get some serious decorating done!

Marvelous job, Jan! One of your best posts yet (probably because I love blue and white and all things plates.) Love the way you used them all. In fact, I have delft plates with my children's birth information - think I'll go get them out and work them into my bookcase!

The plaques and the plates look fabulous and you've done such a great job arranging them. Which particular mall in Treasure Island did you visit?

Gorgeous collection. I also loved how you alternated the color of the books on the shelves in your office.
