~ majolica, shells and boxes

As I mentioned, my last visit with my parental units was all about relaxation! While in relaxation mode, I kept noticing my mom's gorgeous majolica. I took some photos to share... and as you'll see, my fascination moved from majolica to shells to boxes...

Starting with majolica, a beautiful set of three plates by the kitchen sink...

Also in the kitchen, charming cabinets house majolica pairs and sets...

This is seriously my favorite platter ever. I have repeatedly begged my mother for this platter, but she won't give it to me. I don't blame her.

This beautiful collection of green oyster plates are perfect for the vaisselier...

A few more random majolica pieces around the home...

And of course, the pinnacle of the displayed majolica would be in the dining room...

Also love and beg for this platter... Again, no luck!

Next, we move on to shells... My mom has always been a collector of shells. Even when we lived in St. Louis she had a few displayed, but she's definitely taken it to the next level now that she lives in Florida and shells feel more appropriate.

The shell box must have inspired the transition to boxes.

And there you have it... Such beauty all over the house!

I think about a diner with salad and oranges served on the platter - the green and orange color comes perfect with this majolica...Grüße rheingruen
