~ visit with mom and dad

First, I must correct right away my mistake from yesterday's post. I mistook the beautiful bougainvillea for azaleas. Whoopsie! Thanks to all who emailed and commented on my mix up. I like to correct mistakes as soon as possible!

Now, on to the weekend with my parents...
So happy to spend time with my folks in Winter Park, Florida! We didn't go shopping, we didn't go antiquing, we didn't do much of anything except relax, and it was awesome!
I did manage to get my camera out and it's a good thing. My photos produced three posts for this week...
You can see why we had no motivation to leave!

Seriously, their backyard is a dream. We were so happy sitting back there with an occasional dip in the pool. Normally, the dip in the pool activity would be an exhilarating refresher after sitting in the hot sun. However, since my parents heat their pool (on purpose) to 85 degrees, (no I'm not kidding) it's actually more comparable to a really warm bath experience. However we did continue with the occasional dips... just for a change of scenery. And as you've seen, the scenery rocks.

Just gorgeous.....love how lush everything is and the pink of the flowers really pops next to the greenery..I dont' blame you for not doing much, backyards like that are meant for lounging and not moving a muscle.

What a beautiful place to just go hang out. Who wouldn't want to in such wonderful surroundings.

Absolutely beautiful. I love all the plants, but especially the bougainvillea!

Your parents have a beautiful garden. As for the pool, we Floridians actually think 85 is a little on the cool side. I personally prefer 88 degrees. I look forward to the rest of the garden pictures.

Paradise. With a frozen margarita in one hand and the latest decorating book in the other, I would never leave this gorgeousness!

Beautiful garden photos, I really like the green tiered hedging, the Bougainvillea growing over the gate is very inviting and the pool sounds wonderful at 85 degrees.

Now I'm homesick. I'm from Winter Park, but currently live in DC. Your parents yard is typical of Winter Park - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Regarding the heated pool, many Floridians heat their pools. Its great on a cool February or March day, but once April or May rolls around, you turn the heater off!
