~ delightful display

To continue with the series of Chicago posts, this display really got my adrenaline pumping. Like, I was sweating.

Look at the needlepoint tapestry!

The trellis back chairs were as charming as it gets...

Lettuce? Who knew?

Here you can see the brick paver "stage" the display was set up on. Sections of the bricks were replaced with charming moss and an array of flowering plants.

I can't say bananas or grapes have ever made it to my list when planning a tablescape... sort of makes me feel like a real dud when it comes to creativity.

Inspiration at it's best!
Still more to come from my day trip to Chicago...

Wonderful inspiration there - I'll have to come back when I finally get my plants all in. I can see a direction for the new look I've been working on for the veranda. I'm in love with the colours!
