~ veranda holiday

Wow. The holiday cover of Veranda is fabulous. In all honesty, I'm not quite ready for holiday covers, but this beauty justifies an exception.

This looks to be another cover option, just a page behind the cover above ~ equally stunning. I love the limes!

No surprise, what's inside is awesome as well...

I think it's time to get a little something going in the fireplace, and curl up on the couch...

(homemade scanned images = poor quality.. pick up a copy to see the real thing!)

~ pearls purchases

My visit to Pearls Before Noon was too short. Next time, I'll need more time to sufficiently shop. However, it's hardly possible to walk out of this shop empty handed...
If you missed the post, it's hereand below are my purchases.

An adorable teapot...

A darling trivet I've layered with another...

I bought this tin box for my mom. The S perfect for our family name...

Except now I kind of want it...

Whoopsie!

Don't worry Mom, I'll send it...

A few antique books...

Oh, and this bust!

Where in the world am I going to put this bust? I just couldn't pass it up... charming isn't it?

These glasses aren't from Ann's shop, but I had to share... I found them at an estate sale recently ~ The set of 8 glasses for $150!

Just in time for the holidays!

So that's the report. It's always fun to receive those out of town shopping packages!

~ tangerine and grape

Yet another unlikely pair of colors I have been inspired by thanks to Pinterest. I did tangerine and turquoise in May (here), and now I offer you tangerine and grape. It seems when I notice an unusual color combination, soon enough, I have a Pinterest board full of beauty!

Orange and purple flowers from a previous post on Monkey Flower Group. (here)

Linking up for Mosaic Monday here

~ island shops

A fun group of my friends recently celebrated a special birthday on Fripp Island, South Carolina. What a wonderful place to be! Beautiful beaches, charming homes, and a laid back vibe I could get used to. A real dandy place to relax except for one little hiccup: deer! While riding in golf carts from one place to the next, the amount of deer roaming around was not normal. More alarming were the guests feeding the deer from their golf carts ~ definitely unnatural. Not sure what's up with that, but it totally creeped me out.

Ok, back to charming and beautiful...
On one of our day excursions, we stopped at a collection of island shops in St. Helena, SC, aka Frogmore.

First stop, Octopuses, a shuper shell shop.

Full of shell treasures and beautiful displays...

Next stop Bellavista... just next door.

And one more, just down the road, What's in Store...

As you can see, the shops are filled with charming coastal home decor. Just a few miles from historic Beaufort, and on the way to Fripp, they are a must stop-and-shop.
