~ naples

Naples, Florida is where this girl spent Spring Break...

A charming art show provided a bit of entertainment...

Wished English Traditions was open...
(CLOSED SUNDAY)

 Window shopping instead...

Tried and loved a new restaurant, Tulia.

And loved, loved, loved driving by some of the houses...

I promise you I could have and would have gotten better photos had I driven myself. Relying on my husband as the driver means I have a fraction of a second to get the shot because he's not stopping or slowing down if a car is behind us. If I'm driving, I have no problem pulling over to get the shot I want. Nevertheless, I got some good ones...

Plenty of spectacular gates to see...

(that bird flew right in my photo!)

Here's the house I want. It's my favorite. It's just off the beach downtown and I would be tickled to own it...

I loved this house but wasn't even sure if it was a house. My husband confirmed that in fact it's not a house. There's no garage!

We couldn't figure out what it was! Except pretty.

On our last day, I literally had my camera ready to go to several of my favorite shops and realized it was Sunday and all my favorite shops would be closed. I am typically not a procrastinator, but I'm going to have to be more organized and plan ahead next time.

So excited to tell you the news. An inspired home post is coming up next! If you are not familiar with inspired homes, you must be new. Visit my catalog of all past inspired homes, here.

Jan such beautiful homes and such gorgeous gates!!!! I know what you mean ... my husband cannot stop for me to take photos as he is so worried about traffic behind him!!! Very frustrating for us enthusiastic sleuths!!!! Have a lovely Sunday

best wishes always

Love Naples too Jan, we spend time there every year and the art walk is always great fun. These pictures make me want to be there again:)

You managed to get some great photos even if you weren't able to stop much.

Jan looks like you had a wonderful trip and the homes are fabulous. Your images got me in the spring mood. Don't you hate that husbands won't stop for a picture but you still managed to get some great shots. Looking forward to seeing more homes on the inside.

What a pretty tour of Naples. My husband is the exact same way! I prep him by telling him to be ready to slow down or pull over when we are in pretty places and my camera is ready but he just sails right by! Grrrrr.

Did not know they had opened another English Traditions. We have lots of pieces in our home from their Cincinnati store. Used to carry great hotel silver, wonder if they stlll do.

I had an aunt and uncle who retired to Naples. They are now deceased, and I'm sad I never made a trip to visit them while they lived there. Thanks for sharing your shots of the beautiful homes.

I've only been to Naples once...and it was in February. We thought that would be the perfect place to escape the NY winter, but alas the weather did not cooperate and we hardly left our room at the Ritz!!!

Now that I see what I was missing, we have to have a do-over!!!
