~ framed scarves

What a great idea!

Years ago I thought myself quite the trendsetter when I framed an Hermes scarf for my daughter's bedroom... Apparently not as original as I had suspected!

Clever and handsome, yes?

Here's mine...

My daughter loves it and wants to take it for her own apartment! She's no dummy...

A Hermes scarf is definitely a work of art. I'd be taking it along to my apartment too. Smart young lady!
A friend's daughter who lives in a tiny space in NYC has a framed Hermes above her sofa. It is definitely a focal point in her apartment.

A beautiful idea! I have seen many of these images and each is more beautiful than the next.

I've always loved this idea. I have a painted batik piece of fabric from when we live in Indonesia that I have been wanting to frame. I should get on that!

Wonderful idea! What a great way to showcase Hermes' amazing patterns-much better than keeping it in a drawer for special occasion

Jan,
You're right....your daughter's no dummy! :) I love, love the look of the framed Hermes scarf. But, I don't know which one I would be willing to part with so permanently. Of course....I haven't worn one in ages, but they do look sweet in their little orange boxes!

Hope all is well with you!

Beautiful! Love the idea too, our daughter has a vintage Hermes that we have not yet framed, we ran out of wall space in her apt but will eventually get it done. I have not seen all these great inspiration photos before. Love the tones, design and frame of yours!

Beautiful! I've framed wallpaper before for my daighter's bedroom when she was very young. It was that beautiful wallpaper you buy one sheet. I would take it too if I was your daughter!! That's definety a keeper. I LOVE the 8th photo. Now that's a unique home. It really pulls you in, don't you think?

I have always thought that Hermes scarves were too beautiful simply to wear. No one knows what they really look like but the wearer. Better to frame them to enjoy every day!

What a great idea! I think I may have overlooked these images in the past, assuming they were art prints rather than framed fabrics.
Yours is lovely - your daughter has a good eye, too!

One of the Hermes scarves that I bought for $2.00 at a thrift shop is in colours that I don't wear - oranges and bright greens - so I think I will frame it and put it in the guest room that has acid yellow curtains. Did you have to get a custom frame for it?
