~ ikat everywhere

This image has sparked all kinds of ikat kraziness for me...

Designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who was super popular on Million Dollar Decorators... I don't remember him using these gorgeous blues, greens, reds and yellows... Love the combination!

Here he uses pink and green, and another fabulous ikat ~ delicious!

Next, I've been obsessing over the home of Danielle Rollins featured in Veranda last month. Miles Redd is her friend and designer, and this blue and green ikat (Oscar de la Renta/Lee Jofa) is one of the prettiest I've ever seen...

Danielle's house again - same ikat on the green bench...

Here it is close-up on another bench...

Here, Miles Redd sits beside that same ikat in a different colorway...

This image, also from Danielle Rollins, shows a charming pink ikat tablecloth...

It's a Schumacher... Love the green!

It came in several colors ~ all discontinued!

Love those blue ikat pillows!

Look at that ikat pillow in the center with the gorgeous animal print pillows.. This is one of my favorite rooms from Miles Redd...

David Easton's charming patio, ikat pillows worked in nicely...

Check out this ikat tile pattern...

Remember this Eddie Ross design with the ikat panels?

Ikat rug

I'm thinking of this for a bench in my dining room...

I just can't seem to get enough of it!

Ikat never looked so good. Funny I have been drawn to it too and just yesterday found some beautiful ikat-ish pillows for my outside sitting area that I think I am going for, its fresh but still very elegant.

I've always loved ikat and thankfully I have it from the 18th century to keep up with the design world. Love the bench shown above all by itself.

Enjoy your week!

I just bought a summer skirt, long and flowing, that's an ikat print. I counted that it's got eight different colours in it, ranging from acid green to bright purple. I love that i can mix and match with lots of different tops.

Beautiful post! My favorite is the pink table with the Haviland Syracuse china. Like the subtle pattern of that fabric.

I met your friend Ann M. the other day in Habersham! We had been on a tour with an agent and I recognized her house and said to my husband, I swear I have seen that house before on a blog. Then I was in her shop talking to her, she said she was from Omaha. It clicked, I knew you were from Omaha. Such a strong lady, her story is sad but inspiring. She is happy with her new life! We really appreciated her info on living there. Thanks for making the connection for us, Jan!
