~ prelude to a june wedding

Certain posts get me really excited, and this is one of those posts. The charm and beauty witnessed on this beautiful summer night is breathtaking, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with you. I've been looking forward to this particular post for months. The homeowner is on a committee with me and although I had heard her backyard was wonderful, I had no idea it would be this wonderful. Truly the perfect setting for an exquisite and charming rehearsal dinner...

See for yourself...
The front of the house is the perfect prelude of what's to come ~ charm central...

The front yard is spectacular...

Up the driveway, there is a side entrance... a very charming one!

Looking straight back, you can see the backyard is quite large...

And through the garage, the enchanting garden and patio can be found...

I absolutely love the limes in the egg cups for place cards! And the menu on the bread bag ~ very cool.

The multi-colored plates are stunning...

This is the other side of the house where guests made their way to the intimate dinner...

The perfect entrance for a perfectly lovely evening...

Loved the simplicity of the flowers...

Just perfect.

I am always in awe of people that plan important events outside--I would be a wreck worrying about inclement weather. So bravo to this family. They were able to celebrate and enjoy their charming yard. I love the use of different plate colors.

Actually, one would never expect this brilliant garden when seeing the simplicity of the front exterior...and you're right, Jan, it's dreamy.

Jan this is just spectacular! And this was only the rehearsal dinner.... the settings, the flowers and the gardens are beautiful. I really love the bamboo chairs and the topiary trees in silver pots on the table! What wonderful start to a wedding!

You always have such treats for us. I do hope you will pop over this week. - My new site is about to launch any day.....
I need to add this home to "one's to capture" in a pve original.

Absolutely stunning! The lawn and the tables are perfection.
Never thought I would like to roll in the grass, but this lawn would be the one if I decided to!

Jan, it is exquisite. The intimate feel of this backyard garden is perfect for a dinner party. I admire the way the way this garden is layered and the different levels. Is that a potting shed with those adorable windows with flower boxes? Beautiful event all around ~ the flowers, the dishes, the setting, and the attention to detail. Thanks for sharing!

SO beautiful and well done! Too bad about that chain link fence behind the little garden house...vines or privacy fence would be the ticket for that. :)

Spectacular. We had my daughters wedding in our back yard and this so reminded me of that time. So special ( and so much work to make everything perfect!)
