~ hillary apartment update

What a way to bring in the new year! After living through the sick house during the week of Christmas, we were thrilled to get away to Chicago. The boys went to the Bears game, Second City was the perfect New Year's Eve entertainment for the whole family, and the food in Chicago, as always, was outstanding. (Cafe Spiaggia, The Purple Pig, NoMI, and Big Star...) We spent a day at the Art Institute Chicago Museum and enjoyed The Peninsula Chicago and Hillary's apartment equally...

Thanks to Santa, Hillary's apartment got a few upgrades…

The ottoman is new from Wisteria (on clearance)

The antlers were at the top of Hillary's wish list… and they are a clever addition for sure.

The MacKenzie-Childs hooks were perfect to display/store Hillary's ridiculous handbag collection. Her Grammy is responsible for supplying the most extravagant hand-me-downs known to man.

A few new knick knacks here and there…

Looking good!

Most importantly, and forgive me if I've already reported this tidbit, I can't help myself, Hillary got a job! She works in the Tribune Tower just down Michigan Ave. She could not be happier or more excited! And neither could we...

More Chicago coming up...

I love home tours. Getting to see inside is such a joy! I love the new antlers and the ottoman. Let's face it, her place is great. I'm going to have to borrow the hook idea for my bags.

Hillary's apartment looks so glam!! If it ever gets warm there I will have to force myself a trip to Chicago--poor Hillary's Grammy hates traveling! So proud of her and her job! Happy New Year!

It is such fun to get our daughters set up in their first "real" apartment…and then see them get the job! How long a drive is it to Chicago? And stay warm in the next few days: I don't envy all of you in the bitter cold. Time for some Florida maybe?
