~ colorful glassware: part 1

Carolyne Roehm is a constant inspiration to me. (How many times have I started a post with this very sentence?I pick apart her tablescapes and am obsessed with her taste level and her tenacious attention to detail.

My newest obsession is her incredible collection of glassware and crystal. Specifically, the beautifully hued pieces exhibiting a rainbow of colors.

This is one of my favorite tablescapes from Carolyne. Not only have I acquired the glasses in 2 colors, I have done extensive research on this ceramic china - aptware - and found what I believe is all that's left of the green version. Additionally, I have the exact napkins in a variety of colors with the same monogram. .. (I did use my initials and not Carolyne's :)
I digress… The glassware is what we are concentrating on here. Here are the blue glasses...

Here are those same glasses in green.

Another table with the blue glasses...

And another...

The green glasses again...

Here, Carolyne uses beautiful blue glasses and bowls on a lovely tray for house guests…

Another set of green glasses...

And those same glasses in blue...

I am not 100% sure this is a CR table, but I would guess it is…
 Same blue glasses here...

Same goes for this image… not 100% sure it's a CR table, but regardless, same blue glasses…

Here's amethest...

 Another set of green glasses…

And another...

I adore these magenta glasses paired with the clear goblets with magenta rims...

I believe these are the same pair of glasses looking more red on this table...

Fancier examples of colored glassware are aplenty...

Gorgeous!

Here are links to a couple of the glasses featured in Carolyne Roehm tables capes:

Stay tuned for more on colorful glassware…

I love your taste. I can always count on you to take me places I would have never travelled on my own. Thank you! Bless You! Pamela

I have long noticed Carolyne's use of colored stemware. How wise. Once you put your napkin in your lap, the color remains on the table! Thank you for always drawing attention to the details and giving us the scoop on sources. No wonder I am your faithful reader!

Hi Jan, What is the china in the first photograph called? Aptware? Have never heard of it. I assume it's no longer manufactured and she must have purchased it at an auction perhaps. Can you tell me more about it? Beautiful post.

Love all of these but my favorite is the green with the tomatoes and the basil featured in Veranda. Just makes you want to sit and enjoy.

Jann, you always share the best of the best. I'd love to have a set of the Apt dishes, but only one small dish here that was purchased in Paris many years ago…..a gift for my husband. He keeps it on his desk.

Have you had any success in finding some pieces for your table?
