~ grape and lemon

Purple and yellow are not only for the Lakers. Although they are an unlikely pair of colors for me, I was forced to re-think after Carolyne Roehm recently posted the most beautiful display using this vibrant color combo.

So I went straight to Pinterest to see what else I could find...

Plenty!

Pretty post, Jan. I am not really a purple girl, but after seeing the purple strappy sandals with the gold-yellow blouse, I thought, wow, what a stunning combination.

Very pretty but in our neck of the woods the purple and yellow belong to the Louisiana State University Tigers and being Ole Miss Rebels we are hard pressed to use the color combination!! By the way, say a cheer for the Rebs as they are playing in the College World Series in your town tonight!

Beautiful pictures! Purple anything just reminds me of New Orleans these days as my daughter is still there…I still love the two colors mixed together though…especially in the garden! Hope you are doing well!

Wow!!! This is all so gorgeous and this coming from me, a non purple lover! Amazingly pretty.

Very pretty and I don't usually like the combo. I must say I think the simple mason jar filled with lemon slices and purple stock is a perfect match.

All I can think is Geaux Tigers. My whole life is puple and gold...especially in the fall all the way through carnival and into my garden with Allamanda and Ruella. The Allamanda explodes out of a perfectly hedged box of Ruella like champagne at a national championship.
