~ party weekend

What a fun holiday weekend! With out of town friends visiting, and the beginning of football season, a party was to be had.

It rained every single day last week, but I was bound and determined to be outside on the patio. Although it was a bit humid, I am grateful to report, it was a beautiful, dry night.

Kyle Robino of Old Market Habitat did the most amazing flower arrangements to coordinate with each tablecloth…

Plus a fabulous centerpiece for the buffet...

One of the prettiest arrangements I've ever seen!

And a few others...

I loved her thoughtful choice of flowers ~ perfect with each tablecloth!

Brilliant.

The use of citrus and peaches is my favorite...

I picked up some hydrangea at the grocery store for inside...

Another arrangement from Kyle...

And more outside shots...

I am in love with catering. I know I've said it already, but it sure takes the stress out of entertaining for me. Although I don't have recipes to share, here is the menu John Benker put together… delicious!

Heirloom Tomato Caprese Pizzettes

How beautiful! The colours together look so pretty against the green back drop of the garden {which is incredible}.

Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen that many flowers at a wedding! All so beautiful--must have been some pretty special guests! That was fit for royalty!!!

What a beautiful party. I love that all of the tables are different and each one so pretty. So glad for you that it stayed dry - I hate it when I want to entertain in the garden and it gets rained out!

Jan the dinner party was just beautiful, so many different fabrics which blended so well together and brought a new dimension to the overall look. The food sounds delish, and you are so right Kyle needs to branch out she could make a fortune here in Chicago, and I would be her first customer! your company was so lucky they got to spend time in your lovely home.

What a lovely backdrop for a party. The colors and textures in the flowers were beautiful. Your outdoor areas looked so festive. The menu sounds devine. I am sure your guests loved every minute of their time in your home.
