~ tft tablescape: november

Of course, this November tablescape is all about the turkey table!

Our Thanksgiving trip to Mexico was cancelled this year due to the recent hurricane in Cabo. La Palmilla is closed until March! Interestingly enough, once we got over the disappointment, we were overcome with excitement about being home for this special holiday!

We were lucky enough to have some of our out-of-town family join us, making a full table...

I found this fabric on eBay and Kyle Robino of Old Market Habitat made this gorgeous table runner for me...

Kyle is also responsible for these insane flowers. INSANE!

The candlesticks, tortoise glasses, napkins rings, and the small bowls with orange roses are all from Material Possessions in Chicago... (here)

The Quimper centerpiece is from Soloman Suchard Antiques - purchased at the Laurtizen Gardens Antique & Garden Show.

The monogrammed napkins are from Number Four Eleven in Savannah, GA (here)

The chargers are Two's Company... (here)

The flatware is from Horchow... I love it!  (here)

The flowers were really spectacular playing up the coral and fuchsia in the monogram... Kind of a fun and unexpected colorful surprise for a Thanksgiving table.

You can see the subtle color differentiation in the monogram better in this photo...

The aptware plates are fabulous and my very favorite thing.
(From France)

And how about those slip covers on the chairs? Love that Les Touches fabric by Brunschwig & Fils! (here) And the Pierre Frey (discontinued) fabric to highlight the host and hostess chairs.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!
So much to be grateful for!

Tomorrow is December 1st. I cannot believe it, but it's true.

~ fall for plaid 2

Plaid cannot be resisted by yours truly during the fall.  When October and November arrive, I start to feel the pull.

My SIL helped me find this cute scarf from Zara. (Thank you Nina!) Apparently I wasn't the only one who flipped over it. They sold out quickly.

If interested, you can do some investigative work on google and find one. They were quite reasonable at $39 from Zara so don't be fooled! (here) Also, Zara has other great options... (here, here, and here)

Last year's plaid post for other victims of plaid obsession... (here)

Sending you wishes for a Thanksgiving full of love and gratitude!

I'll be back next week!

~ danielle rollins, veranda, borsheims, roberto coin, lauritzen gardens

The longest title ever for a post, but each constituent played a part in this amazing dinner party.

Danielle Rollins, as a contributing editor for Veranda, collaborated with Borsheims and Roberto Coin to host a lovely dinner party right here in Omaha...

The  sparkling event was held at the new Conservatory located at Omaha's Botanical Center, Lauritzen Gardens.

Stunning jewelry including necklaces and bracelets, earrings and rings, were incorporated into the lovely floral centerpieces...

As usual, Danielle looked darling and was in her element placing the jewels just so...

Danielle Rollins called on Kyle Robino ahead of time to have everything ready for her arrival. Here they are working their magic!

This necklace and bracelet combo really got me... that's a whole lot of diamonds!

The glass conservatory allows guests to experience the lush gardens year-round... What a spectacular addition to the beautiful Lauritzen Gardens!

I was thrilled to see the conservatory in person for the first time. And what a treat to spend time with Danielle. We had a delightful lunch and I am truly in awe of her ability to work on so many projects at once, all the while maintaining her graceful composure and looking fresh as a daisy. I left in the afternoon while she was still working on the tables. I came straight home, exhausted, got in my PJ's and read my book (The Andy Cohen Diariesby the fire. She stayed on and worked, changed into a sleek black dress, and looked like a movie star for the evening!  The Roberto Coin diamonds certainly helped complete the look.. She is a real talent and a true beauty ~ I can not get over her porcelain skin! Just adorable I tell you.
