~ pve design monogram giveaway!

Time for another custom monogram giveaway from PVE Design!!

I've done a couple posts in the past on the uber talented Patricia van Essche..

I'm super obsessed with her custom monograms...

I mean each one is cuter than the last!

I hadn't seen this one before ~ a new favorite!

Love this bamboo theme she did for my daughter, Hillary...

I had this one made for my friend Kyle Robino last year :)

The winner of the last giveaway chose a similar design...

Now that I look back, I think I probably drove Patricia crazy with my special requests...

But I love each and every option!

To enter the giveaway for a custom monogram, go to PVE Design and take a look through her extensive portfolio. Come back here and leave a comment telling your favorite category! I will announce a winner next Monday. The winner will work with Patricia on the design for the custom monogram! The giveaway is for a monogram, my favorite category, but I truly adore so many of her things...

Here are a couple favs from her Etsy Shop...

~ daffodils

One of the things I love most about Instagram is finding out about something new.

I'm not sure how I missed pink daffodils for the past 49 years, but thank goodness I don't have to live another day without knowing about them.

Once I saw the image on instagram, naturally, I went straight to Pinterest and did some extensive research and investigating...

Have you ever?

Apparently there are some fancy daffodils out there...

And I'm thoroughly obsessed.

Daffodils are perfect for an Easter arrangement..

Even if they aren't pink :)

Of course it's daffodil season, so daffodil images are appearing everywhere.. Loved this article from flower magazine... The Best Places to See Daffodils this Spring

And this from Gwyneth Paltrow's instagram
A darling post for National Puppy Day featuring Daffodil and Nero :)

I am definitely naming my next dog Daffodil.

~ zazou naples

If you are looking for some seasonal inspiration, this photo tour of Zazou in Naples might be just what you need.

They always have an amazing selection of MacKenzie-Childs...

I'm not a big fan of artificial flowers, but I kept coming back to this centerpiece...

What I really love is the container! It looks like a wooden, hand-painted colander. And look at the smaller size ~ adorable!

Happy, colorful displays are everywhere...

My mom and I were in search of knobs for a fun kitchen update. Mission accomplished although not without some distractions.

What a charming planter!

This chandelier was an impulse buy for my parents! Can you believe? They had it hung in their entry about 45 minutes after purchasing... I swear.

This whimsical addition let's you know what's up the second you walk in the door :)

What a fun and satisfying day of decorating!

~ museum bees

Although I don't stock many things in my online shop, (most items are ordered from the vendor as they are purchased from customers..)  I do stock bees from Trace Mayer. They are one-of-a-kind and oh so fun to give and receive! A word of caution: Customers who make a bee purchase very often become repeat customers :)

If you have not heard about Museum Bees, here's what people are buzzing about: (As stated on my shop website)

Trace Mayer uses antique frame fragments, predominantly from 1860-80, to form charming and interesting shapes. In the center, a variety of ornaments are showcased, the first of which was Napoleon's Bee. What has transpired over the years is a phenomenon anyone and everyone can get exited about and be a part of. Bees have expanded to include a plethora of other gems including other animals, insects, and most recently, personal items such as a medal, or a special family heirloom. Small antique objects are another favorite option including horse brass, pre-Columbian fragments, or small bronze medallion.

Each is a work of art and imperfectly perfect...
Each and every "bee" in The French Tangerine Shop is priced at $50.

"So what do I do with the museum bees?"

I'm so glad you asked!

Here are some images of my own, plus a few from Trace Mayer and Pinterest showing some great examples of how to display bees!

I love the variance in color represented here ~ what a collection!

Here are some of my favorites from my personal bee collection...

Sitting in front of books on the bookshelves adds a bit of interest...

Love this dragonfly and painted turquoise center.

This red one adds a little zip to a bathroom...

You guys, this is my newest bee. IT'S HUGE! I love it so much...

Trace is the master at displaying the bees at antique shows...

My mom is so smart. She took out the bee and replaced it with a favorite shell.

A fun collection for the equestrian lover...

And this collection of horse brass is awesome!

Whether in a collection, or displayed solo, a museum bee is a charming addition to any decor. The possibilities are endless!

I feel like everyone should have a bee :)
