Friday Bridal Luncheon

One of the best parts about Hillary living in Whitefish is that some of our best friends also have a home in Whitefish. I was familiar with their frequent visits and that they had been vacationing there for over 20 years, so five years ago, when Hillary mentioned she might be moving to Whitefish from Chicago, it was not as much of a shock as it could have been. Our friends have included Hillary for Christmas when she couldn’t get home, and we often get together when we are there at the same time. They are her Omaha family in Whitefish!

They hosted the most beautiful bridal luncheon on Friday, the day before the wedding. We had been worrying about rain on the wedding day for an entire year, and it only rained a short time on Friday, and it was just fine. Their home is so incredibly beautiful, and the large windows throughout showcase gorgeous mountain views. The rain made everything even more green!

The flowers were spectacular.

The table was a showstopper. Although I think they hoped to have the table outside on their deck, I don’t think this could have been any prettier.

Loved the use of the green tomatoes! Green was our predominant wedding color, and the green and white themed table was just fabulous.

Loved the linens, the Juliska dinnerware, the horn napkin rings, the glassware and the flatware. The design was updated and fresh and the whole package was perfectly executed. Arden and Darci, with Greenwood Events, did a great job coordinating the tablescape with the wedding weekend vibe, but still maintaining a unique and original quality. It was just perfect.

The menus and place cards were so charming and the prettiest green.

The menu was outstanding. I don’t think I’ve ever had risotto this delicious. The morel mushrooms!

We enjoyed conversation and a few remarks around the table for the most delicious meal.

Back to the flower situation. I am convinced the peonies in Montana are on steroids. Everywhere you go, even the coffee shop or the bakery, there are vases filled with ginormous peonies. They are incredible!

The house was filled with flowers in every room!

Loved and appreciated all the different containers with unique, gorgeous arrangements.

The wedding photographer was on site for the luncheon, so although I did manage to take a few pics of flowers and the table, we knew that was being done professionally, so we enjoyed being in the moment. It will be so exciting to get that email this summer and relive this wonderful weekend through the photos!

The amount of time I spent putting together the right outfits for each wedding event is ridiculous. I was so excited to wear this dress, I didn’t even notice the wrinkles. We used hanging bags, which I haven’t done in years, but wrinkles were inevitable. Oh well. I was too happy to care even if I had noticed! Maybe the photographer can photoshop? Come to think of it, I have a few other things I’d like him to photoshop. 😉

I don’t think you can see Hillary’s earrings very well, but they are bears! I saw these right after she got engaged and bought them immediately. The arms and legs move! Maybe I’ll do a post for the outfits and accessories. Does anyone care?

I had to get a close-up of the bears. They were a splurge, but she’ll have them forever!

Also, the purse seemed perfect for a bride-to-be!

This Montana home is absolutely stunning with beautiful vignettes everywhere you look. I have become accustomed to Montana decor thanks to my many visits and home store shopping in Whitefish. I’m not sure if the mountain design trend I’m noticing is because of time spent in Montana, or if it has become more prevalent in general.

Sweet little takeaways as we left this extra special luncheon. . .

Sometimes, my friend texts me photos of the Montana sky from their deck, and they are breathtaking!

What a wonderful place Montana is. And how lucky we are to have such special friends. This luncheon will go down in the books as one of the best! I feel like a broken record, but having all your favorite people come together to support you is pretty awesome and unforgettable.

Professional pics still to come, but couldn’t wait that long to share!
