Aptware Update

As many of you know, the biggest impetus for adding a shop to the blog, about 10 years ago, was the connection with an aptware vendor. Thanks to my enthusiastic blogposts highlighting my clear obsession, a vendor reached out to me. She reached out to me! My dream was to share aptware with my readers, and we have done exactly that - and had the best time doing it - for over a decade! She is the best of the best. I have visited her in Apt, and I will never get over the fact that we connected, and that I have been lucky enough to sell her beautiful craft all these years.

I do have other vendors I purchase aptware from, and I appreciate them all, but that first connection was extra special… an exceptional talent - and a one-woman-show. So impressive!!

This April shipment is quite a collection. I started working my way down the waitlist, and have sold about half of what I received. The green was a real surprise… My very first piece of aptware was a green tureen like the one here, but mine has olives instead of flowers. I adore the flowers! The decorations are a specialty for this vendor.

And also a small collection of 6 dinner plates in green…. so romantic!

A collection of 9 blue octagon dinner and salad plates…

The traditional plates always sell immediately…

So fun to get blue, brown and green in one shipment!

Also received a gorgeous new gray and white color blend. .. a more modern take.

You can see how intricate her designs are on these precious little pitchers.

The acorn and oak leaves on the gray tureen are charm central! Can you imagine for Thanksgiving!?

Brown is my favorite. The ribbed bowls and platters are absolutely stunning!

Additional options for bowls… Adore the more shallow shape in light blue…

Light blue trays as well!

I’ll be uploading what’s left to the website next week, but if you are interested in something you see here, send me a message! here

Hope you are having a wonderful Spring! I am loving all the flowers sprouting up and the colorful trees in Omaha.
