Hillary House Tour

I have done many posts on Hillary’s living quarters starting with her college dorm rooms, through several Chicago apartments, and then three houses in Montana. It is hilarious to look back and see a few things that are still in the mix from the very beginning. You can search “Hillary” on the blog to see the past posts.

The newest house is literally in the woods on the mountain! It’s like a tree house!

On the right side of the house, there is a guest house over the garage which has been my new home every time I visit! Climbing up those stairs is for the young and not my favorite thing about this house.

The front entry is quite spacious and Hillary just got that chest made of fur hide! It’s perfect for Montana. Stay tuned on styling updates.

We saw this settee at Hunter and fell in love for the front entry…

Someday we will find a pair of paintings or mirrors to put in the spaces above….

This shows the feel of the house before they moved in. All the walls are wood, the beams cedar, and the ceilings are so high!

The floors are Montana stone and you can see the colors in the stones right in their yard…

We aren’t sure how we feel about that metal sheeting in the kitchen. I get that it’s modern, but not really my style. However, the Ira Yeager cow painting is perfect in that space!

We plan to get a larger dining table, but this one is from their previous home and does the trick for now.

We removed the large mantel and added a frame TV and filled in the missing stone. They need a TV in this space.

All of this furniture was in her previous house, but fits much better in this one. They have a large space devoted to their elderly dachshund by the windows. Can’t wait for a rug in this space!

A fish from Kemo Sabe Whitefish. Dolan Geiman is a nationally recognized mixed-media artist.

LOL to the pile of stuff to carry upstairs… Signs of life!

The loft is a wonderful space they use for an office and have a treadmill coming soon.

Those Rothko prints are from her first apartment!

Took us too long to figure out what that white board was for… It attaches to the front of the ladder so children can’t climb up! They have no children, so that could probably be moved up to the second loft!

The antlers are from Hillary’s wedding! The silhouettes are from Elle Yount. Hillary is excited to get a bed, but this room has made a lot of progress already. We got that rug for the living room, but it made it’s way up here and we love it!

There is no closet in the primary bedroom, so they are using an adjacent bedroom as a very large closet! Hillary is the GM for Kemo Sabe in Whitefish and has the closet to go with that occupation. You can see many of her outfits documented on her instagram, here.

The views are incredible out those front windows.

This room is a WIP, but very organized!

There is a large space behind this wall with more shelves and tons of hanging. Great storage!

Now, let’s move across the deck to the guest house!

They have had bears on this deck, so we always check first before proceeding…

Big Mama!

They also have friendly wildlife in their “yard”…

The guest house could not be more perfect for Moi!

We didn’t buy a single thing for this space. All “leftover” items from previous houses/apartments!

I didn’t get a good photo of the windows on the wall not photographed, but beautiful views of more trees!

(And sometimes bears and deer)

Loved this wonderful trip to Whitefish - super productive and so fun!
