Les Touches at the Wedding!

Hi. It’s me again. I enjoy posting about the wedding.

Many of you will remember my love of Les Touches fabric from Brunschwig & Fils. I did not intend for it to play a starring role at the wedding, but lo and behold, it was well represented - and in several colors!

I included this image in my photos for Happy Menocal for inspirational purposes, and it served me well.

For some reason, this peridot color was everything I wanted the wedding to be. It could have been named Summer Wedding or June Bride.

After a couple rounds of designs from Happy Menocal, as my previous post explained, we landed on this envelope liner for the invitation and it is perfection. I adore it.

Although the Les Touches design has been around for a while, (over ten years!) new colors have been introduced, and I especially love the pastels. We used peridot, petal and sand for the wedding. Tangerine was in the mix for a while, but we practiced restraint.

We chose petal for the escort table.

And peridot for the cake table.

We used sand on pillows for the sofas - six in all. You can see a pair of them on the green sofa, behind the cake table. Also, look at the backdrop! It was so gorgeous!

I brought the pillows home and they are now on my patio!

We also used petal on the bar panels!

Those bears were a big hit. I found them online from Mrs. Alice and thought they would be cute to scatter around here and there. One of Hillary’s friends took one and sent her photos of the bear around town the next couple days.

LOL

Back to Les Touches!

I found this clutch from Over the Moon and thought I had hit the jackpot. Perfect, I thought, for Hillary to use for the wedding! I was so excited. The coordination queen in me was thriving.

But when Hillary received this bag from one of my dearest friends, plans changed.

After all, Oscar is the love of her life, and this bag will have a special place in Hillary’s heart and home for the rest of her life! This was what I like to call a life-changing gift.

Coincidentally, Sofia Richie got married just a couple months before Hillary, and look at her bag!! She wore this on her honeymoon :)

Back to Les Touches!

I’ve had this image saved for so long. I love the wall covering in brown with the purple and green accents on the bed.

I had slipcovers made for my dining room chairs about ten years ago in brown, and I still love them! This color way had a darker background which was a little richer in this room.

I want this exact chair and ottoman for my master bedroom. This brown color way has a lighter background. The sand color we used for the pillows for the wedding was even lighter than this.

Love it in yellow.

Is there such a thing as too much Les Touches?

I wonder if they will keep making new colors.

I adored the green Les Touches tablecloth for the cake table, but almost any of the pastel colors would have worked. I feel like I will use that for entertaining on the patio, and I’m happy to have it. Look for the little squirrel in the flowers - also from Mrs. Alice! After the bear discussion, Arden suggested using a squirrel or two for the cake table. After several design emails back and forth that day, I forgot to order. Just a few weeks before the wedding I realized I had forgotten, but by then, they were no longer available. After intense searching, which I am accustomed to, I found a pair - possibly the last pair available on earth - and ordered them on eBay from another country! I really wanted the squirrels! I bet no more than five people noticed them at the wedding, but I knew they were there, and I have this photo!

Ok guys! That’s the update on Les Touches at the wedding! if you want to order Les Touches pillows in any of the available colors, in any size, I can do that for you. The pillows shown here are 20” with a 1” flange and come with a synthetic down insert.
